The Board oversees FCBHC's operations, approves the annual budget, and helps establish goals and policies for the organization.

The five key areas of responsibility of the Board of Directors are:
- Policy administration & compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Evaluation of operations, performance standards, and program activities
- Public and Community Relations
- Finance duties include monitoring of the agency's financial condition and authorization of the annual budget and audit.
