Screening Process
The screening process is the initial phase of entry into services at FCBHC. The screening process consists of completing the necessary intake paperwork as well as participating in a one-on-one meeting with the screener in order to assist in determining the appropriate level of individualized care for consumers.
The process is essentially the same for consumers who are under 21 however a few additional forms must be completed. Legal documentation of custody or third party involvement must be provided and the guardian or parent accompanies the minor to their screening appointment.
The screening interview typically lasts 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
After the screening process is completed, the screener will process the necessary paper work and the consumer will be contacted to participate in a Behavioral Health Assessment (intake appointment which can last up to 3 hours) with a master level therapist, which is the intake appointment.
